About The Position

AutoPark Honda has an outstanding opportunity for a Parts Counter Sales to join their team and the Holman family! This role involves assessing the type of part needed or assisting customers/mechanics in determining the correct part for the job. You will read catalogs and/or computer listings to obtain replacement part stock numbers, determine availability, order parts if necessary, fill orders from stock, and mark/log/store parts according to a prearranged system. You will also handle receiving and filling telephone orders, and may prepare customer bills or add parts to service orders. The position requires providing exceptional service to all customers and vendors, processing customer orders, and recommending additional related repair items. Gaining superior product knowledge and understanding of vehicle components is essential to effectively help customers. Responsibilities also include assisting with daily inventory, receiving, stocking, and shipping, as well as assisting in maintaining perpetual inventories. You will help maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the service counter, work area, and stockroom, and maintain records of time, expenses, and materials.

Requirements

  • Previous parts advisor experience
  • Understand basic automotive components and systems
  • A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Possess a valid in-state driver's license
  • Pass a motor vehicle report and possess an acceptable safe driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive dealership service experience is a plus
  • Any automotive certifications is a plus
