About The Position

Leith Honda, part of the Holman family, is seeking a Parts Counter Sales person. This role involves assessing customer and mechanic needs for automotive parts, using catalogs and computer systems to find and order parts, and managing inventory. The position requires providing exceptional service to customers and vendors, processing orders, recommending related repair items, and gaining product knowledge. Responsibilities also include assisting with inventory management, maintaining the cleanliness of the service counter and stockroom, and keeping records of time, expenses, and materials.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of parts experience with wholesale parts sales required
  • Understand basic automotive components and systems
  • A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Possess a valid in-state driver's license
  • Pass a motor vehicle report and possess an acceptable safe driving record
  • Be available for the possibility of one Saturday per month.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive dealership service experience is a plus
  • Any automotive certifications is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assess the type of part needed or assist the customer or mechanic in determining the correct part for the job.
  • Read catalogs and/or computer listings to obtain replacement part stock number, determine availability, and order parts if necessary.
  • Fill orders from stock, and mark, log, and store parts according to a prearranged system.
  • Receive and fill telephone orders.
  • Prepare customer bills or add parts to service orders.
  • Provide exceptional service to all customers and vendors.
  • Process customer orders and recommend additional related repair items.
  • Gain superior product knowledge and understanding of vehicle components to effectively help customers.
  • Assist with daily inventory, receiving, stocking, and shipping.
  • Assist in maintaining perpetual inventories.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the service counter, work area, and stockroom.
  • Maintain records of time, expenses, and materials.
