About The Position

Agricultural Services International (ASI) is looking for a dependable, self-motivated Parts Counter & Inventory Specialist to run the wholesale parts counter at our Lake Wales, FL location. This is a solo-operator role — you’ll own the entire parts operation from counter sales and customer service to purchasing, receiving, and inventory management. Our customers include farmers, landscape contractors, and retail buyers who rely on us for irrigation and waterworks supplies including PVC pipe and fittings, valves, poly tubing, emitters, and related products. If you’re the kind of person who takes ownership, thinks ahead, and keeps things running without being asked — this role is built for you.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, parts counter, or inventory management
• Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one
• Strong customer service skills with a professional, friendly demeanor
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and work independently
• Proactive attitude — you see what needs to be done and do it
• Comfortable with light physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and operating a forklift
• Team-player attitude with strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting/invoicing software
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping and financial transactions
• Familiarity with irrigation, waterworks, or agricultural supply products
• Experience working with wholesale accounts or B2B customers

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for walk-in and phone customers, providing product recommendations and processing orders
• Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and reorder stock to prevent shortages
• Handle purchasing: create purchase orders, coordinate with vendors, and follow up on deliveries
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verify packing slips, and stock shelves
• Process invoices, returns, and credits accurately using the company’s systems
• Prepare estimates and quotes for customers; assist with assembly of irrigation components as needed
• Coordinate deliveries and pickups using in-house driver; arrange shipping and freight through third-party providers
