Galpin Motors is seeking an experienced Parts Counter Associate to join their team at Galpin Volvo in North Hills, CA. This is a full-time opportunity within the Galpin Family of Dealerships, an industry leader with a 77-year history in the automotive sector. Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years parts counter experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional work ethic and high integrity
  • Ability to work as a team and/or independently
  • Strong problem solving and follow up skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers (both retail and internal technicians) in identifying and purchasing the correct parts in a timely and professional manner
  • Accurately look up parts using catalogs, software systems, and VINs to ensure proper fit and application
  • Process sales transactions, including invoicing, payments, and returns, with a high level of accuracy
  • Maintain organized and well-stocked inventory, including receiving, stocking, and tracking parts
  • Communicate effectively with service technicians and other departments to support workflow and minimize delays
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, cash handling, and inventory control
