About The Position

Hanania Automotive Group is looking for a motivated Parts Counter Associate to help customers and team members source parts for maintenance and repairs. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, staying informed about automotive trends, handling phone inquiries, ensuring accuracy in parts and pricing, managing inventory, processing transactions, and maintaining organization. The ideal candidate has a passion for cars, strong attention to detail, and is a collaborative team player.

Requirements

  • Automotive Enthusiast: A genuine passion for vehicles, coupled with a strong eagerness to learn about automotive parts and systems. Must stay current with new products and industry updates.
  • Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Collaborative Team Player: A proactive contributor who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working well with colleagues and customers alike.
  • Dependable and Responsible: A strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Must pass background check and hair follicle drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a dealership or related setting is preferred.
  • Participation in manufacturer-sponsored training programs is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with selecting the right automotive parts while ensuring a friendly and professional experience.
  • Share information about related parts, promotions, and current automotive trends with customers.
  • Handle phone inquiries with expertise, providing detailed price quotes and information.
  • Review body shop estimates for precision in parts and pricing, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Pull and fill orders from stock, maintaining accurate inventory levels and notifying the parts manager of any shortages.
  • Locate out-of-stock parts and manage emergency orders as needed, keeping customers informed about special orders and deliveries.
  • Handle retail transactions efficiently, including payments, invoicing, and processing returns.
  • Keep front and rear counter areas clean and organized.
  • Manage records for repair orders, invoices, and special orders.
