South Bay BMW & Mini, located in Torrance, has an opportunity for a Parts Counter Assistant. If you are a highly motivated, customer service focused individual, we want to meet you!

Requirements

Organized, positive person
High School degree or equivalent
Ability to read and understand technical information
Strong communication skills to explain part information to customers and associates
Experience with parts inventorying procedures
Ability to lift or move 25 to 50 lbs
Able to work rotating Saturdays
Direct contact customer service: 1 year
Driver's License with no/minimal infractions

Responsibilities

Checking in stock orders and stocking shelves
Processing of warranty and core returns
Throwing away empty parts boxes
Assist with preparing daily wholesale deliveries
Keep all bins, aisles and storage areas clean, near and clearly labeled.
Keep front and rear counters clean and uncluttered.
Assist in day to day tasks as directed by Parts Manager and senior Parts Associates.
Assist with buyback returns, core returns and warranty send backs.
Pull purchased parts from stock.
If the part is not in stock work with senior staff to determine availability and submit fiscally sound ordering.
Train to answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
Be friendly, professional and efficient when working with customers and coworkers.
Provide the same high level of service to the other dealership departments, as is given to outside customers.
Advise Parts Manager when areas of the department are not in satisfactory condition.
Preferably train to become fully fledge Parts Associate including participation in available training programs.
