About The Position

At Cox Automotive, we’re hiring a Parts Coordinator I to join our Vehicle Services Support team. This role involves ordering parts and providing excellent customer service to internal customers. The Parts Coordinator will manage parts inventories, perform cycle counts, order parts, deliver inventory, and handle shipping and receiving duties. They will also maintain accurate records, generate reports, and ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in a commercial/diesel vehicle repair shop and/or fleet service department as a Parts Associate; or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Confident with numbers; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using fractions and decimals.
  • Rock solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Obsessive attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly (such as IT Systems, including Web Wrench, MobileFrame, and RO Writer).
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana excluded for this position).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls and emails, assisting internal customers with their needs for parts, cost estimates, and procurement timelines.
  • Support incoming correspondence, calls, and tasks with vendors and technicians in a timely manner.
  • Manage parts inventories assigned to mobile technicians and service trucks.
  • Perform cycle counts and redistribute unused parts to other technicians or return them to vendors.
  • Order parts, perform part runs, and deliver inventory to technicians in the field.
  • Perform duties related to shipping and receiving.
  • Connect with vendors via email, fax, or phone to provide or obtain purchase order approvals and discuss billing questions.
  • Keep up with all necessary paperwork and upload it into the system.
  • Create and catalogue weekly and monthly inventory reports.
  • Perform accurate cycle counts and inventory checks.
  • Track and update parts in the system and in the field.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal customers.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Attend management meetings as required.
