About The Position
Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking an Heavy Duty and Automotive Parts Clerk/Specialist to join their team in Detroit, MI. This role involves working with automotive parts in a fleet management environment. The position offers competitive hourly pay, paid weekly, with a range of $20.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience. The shift is 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with alternating Saturdays. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years' experience in an automotive/fleet parts procurement/distribution environment, or a combination of trade school and hands-on experience
- Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass drug test and background check
- Solid organizational and people skills
Nice To Haves
- OEM/ASE parts certification preferred
- Some automotive/fleet technical background
Responsibilities
- Procurement and distribution of heavy duty and automotive parts.
- Managing parts inventory in an automotive/fleet environment.
- Utilizing computer proficiency for parts management.
- Performing duties in various working conditions, including exposure to traffic, dust, fumes, noise, chemicals, oils, and greases.
- Accessing any area of equipment or vehicles for maintenance.
- Moving and positioning heavy objects.
- Bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and crawling to repair vehicles.
- Working outside in various weather conditions.
