About The Position

Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking an Heavy Duty and Automotive Parts Clerk/Specialist to join their team in Detroit, MI. This role involves working with automotive parts in a fleet management environment. The position offers competitive hourly pay, paid weekly, with a range of $20.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience. The shift is 1st shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with alternating Saturdays. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years' experience in an automotive/fleet parts procurement/distribution environment, or a combination of trade school and hands-on experience
  • Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass drug test and background check
  • Solid organizational and people skills

Nice To Haves

  • OEM/ASE parts certification preferred
  • Some automotive/fleet technical background

Responsibilities

  • Procurement and distribution of heavy duty and automotive parts.
  • Managing parts inventory in an automotive/fleet environment.
  • Utilizing computer proficiency for parts management.
  • Performing duties in various working conditions, including exposure to traffic, dust, fumes, noise, chemicals, oils, and greases.
  • Accessing any area of equipment or vehicles for maintenance.
  • Moving and positioning heavy objects.
  • Bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and crawling to repair vehicles.
  • Working outside in various weather conditions.
