The Maintenance Inventory Clerk is responsible for procuring, stocking, and issuing maintenance parts and supplies to support preventive maintenance and work order activities. This role maintains accurate inventory records, coordinates with vendors and internal maintenance teams, conducts audits, and manages special orders and backorders. The position also ensures an organized, safe parts room environment while adhering to company policies, values, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of (3)-three years of purchasing and inventory management experience in maintenance or production environment, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel), email, general office equipment (scanner/copier/fax)
  • SAP experience preferred and have the ability to learn new applications is required.
  • Ability to work weekends and extended work hours as required.
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment and components.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance process.
  • Demonstrate a proficiency and understanding of systems such as safety, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and code compliance as it related to documenting procedures and developing PM’s.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting..
  • Extensive planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Procure, receive, stock, and issue maintenance parts, supplies, and consumables in accordance with company policies and standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including quantities, costs, usage, and documentation supporting preventive maintenance and work orders.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure correct manufacturer part numbers and resolve issues related to damaged, missing, or incorrect materials.
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and investigate variances to ensure system accuracy.
  • Maintain an organized and safe parts room, including documentation, procedures, and records necessary to support maintenance activities.
