Ebay Parts Associate
About The Position
The Parts Associate will be responsible for creating accurate, search-friendly listings on eBay and other potential platforms such as Amazon and Facebook Marketplace. This role involves identifying parts, photographing, measuring, weighing, and writing clear titles and descriptions. The associate will also set and adjust pricing, maintain accurate inventory counts across all platforms, and manage the receiving, labeling, and binning of new and used parts. Additionally, the position requires picking, packing, and shipping orders on time, handling buyer inquiries, returns, and feedback, and tracking sales and inventory performance. Collaboration with service and parts departments to source new inventory is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Hands-on inventory control experience: receiving, bin locations, cycle counts, reconciling counts
- Strong multitasking and organization; you can juggle listings, shipping and customer messages in the same day
- Comfortable with computers, spreadsheets and inventory or listing software
- Clear written communication and attention to detail
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a parts room and warehouse setting
- Marine, powersports, automotive or RV parts experience
- Basic product photography skills
- Knowledge of shipping carriers, freight and oversized-item shipping
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years selling on eBay or other online marketplaces, ideally with a high-volume seller account
- Familiarity with multi-channel listing tools that sync inventory across platforms
Responsibilities
- Create accurate, search-friendly listings on eBay, plus other potential platforms such as Amazon, Facebook Marketplace, Etc
- Identify parts by part number, OEM cross-reference and boat/engine
- Photograph, measure and weigh parts, and write clear titles and descriptions
- Set and adjust pricing using sold comps, condition and competitor listings
- Keep counts accurate across all platforms so nothing sells twice or sits unlisted
- Receive, label and bin new and used parts; run regular cycle counts
- Pick, pack and ship orders on time; manage carrier labels and shipping costs
- Handle buyer questions, returns and feedback to protect seller ratings
- Track sales, aging inventory and listing performance, and report results to the General Manager
- Work with the service and parts departments to source new inventory, including parts from trade-ins and parted-out units
