About The Position

TrailersPlus is looking for a Parts and Service Technician to join their team. This role involves trailer servicing, parts installations, inventory maintenance, and customer consultations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering top-notch customer service.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
6+ months of related mechanical, service, or assembly experience
Strong troubleshooting ability
Comfortable using hand/power tools
Basic math/geometry skills for installations
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to guide customers through service recommendations
Basic computer and keyboarding skills to navigate online systems and process orders
A strong commitment to working safely, ethically, and maintaining professional standards
Ability to regularly lift 50–75 lbs, stand, balance, reach, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to obtain a state trailer sales license (where required by law)

Responsibilities

Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, service work, and custom accessory/parts installations on trailers and store equipment.
Use a consultative approach during inspections to recommend the best parts and service solutions tailored to each customer’s specific needs.
Receive inbound deliveries (trailers, parts, supplies), track inventory, process paperwork, and ensure correct invoicing for all labor and parts.
Safely operate power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and tractors (company certifications provided).
Help maintain a clean, organized, secure, and safe facility and yard.
Assist the Store Management team with warranty resolution, local market lead generation, and trailer sales as needed.
