About The Position

Louisiana Cat is seeking a high energy, ambitious Parts and Service Sales Representative to join their growing operations. This position will cover the Hammond territory and is responsible for consultative sales, providing heavy CAT equipment management solutions for customers in a defined territory. The role involves acting as a sales consultant for customer accounts, collaborating with Sales Management/General Manager to establish sales goals, and utilizing sales tools to build a career at Louisiana CAT. The company emphasizes service quality, customer relationships, strong values, culture, and safety standards, impacting customers daily across various industries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong sales consultative communication skills as the role is a "customer-facing" position
  • Strong knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office software including Outlook
  • Ability to act as a sales consultant conducting physical hands-on heavy equipment and truck inspections
  • Ability to travel within defined sales territory and valid U.S. Driver's License with clean MVR (Motor Vehicles Record)
  • Must live within the assigned territory
  • Strict compliance with PPE (personal protective equipment) safety regulations
  • Compliance with all Federal, State and Local safety and company regulations
  • Follow all Company Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge or experience using CRM (Customer Relations Management) software such as Salesforce.com
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar product lines is strongly desired; other Heavy Equipment experience is helpful
  • Willingness to relocate within the state of Louisiana for future advancement opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Provide equipment management solutions for customers through knowledge of Louisiana CAT products.
  • Conduct heavy equipment inspections based on Caterpillar company standards.
  • Analyze leads and build efficient call plans to sell solutions to both new and established customers.
  • Consult with customers about CAT equipment life cycles, maintenance process, and replacement parts solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally and collaborate with Parts & Service Department and Equipment Management divisions to meet customer needs.
  • Serve as a sales consultant for customer accounts in the defined territory.
  • Collaborate with Sales Management / General Manager to establish sales goals on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
