About The Position

Manages the Ring Power Parts & Service Departments in such a manner that both the company and its customers receive the maximum return on their investment. Supervises Service Managers: Operates the Service Department on a profitable basis and offer best possible product support to our customer; Controls direct expenses, expense hours, and new machine service and policy allowance warranties; Answers customer requests for service in a timely manner; Assists Product Support Manager in establishing annual goals and objectives; Oversees annual establishment of department service budgets; Monitors progress of each branch monthly and counsel service managers accordingly; Assists Service Managers in establishing annual goals and objectives; Ensures warranty decisions are made promptly using established guidelines; Conducts quarterly meetings with Service Managers; Assists in resolving customer issues. Advises Product Support Manager of corrective action taken; Reviews service reports carefully to insure accuracy and complete information; Assists in maintaining a safe work environment as it relates to the service department; Directly supervises employees on the administration team; Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervises Parts Managers: Assists Parts Managers in establishing annual goals and objectives; Prepares progress reports to be reported to General Parts Manager quarterly; Oversees annual establishment of department parts budget; Monitors progress of each branch monthly and counsel parts managers accordingly; Establishes policies and procedures for parts department; Handles bi-annual audits to be performed at each branch to ensure compliance and reported to General Parts Manager; Conducts quarterly meetings with Parts Managers; Assists product support in establishing effective marketing programs; Assists in resolving customer issues. Advises Product Support Manager of corrective action taken.

Requirements

  • 15 to 20 years of experience in Parts and Service management.
  • Computer skills in dealer computer systems, Microsoft Office and Cat programs.
  • Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.
  • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or related equivalent required.

  • Two years of college or university or related equivalent experience preferred.
