To lead the end-to-end management of the Financial Futures Grants portfolio, oversee the administrative aspects of Brighter Together Grants, and support general administration of the Quilter Foundation. This role is responsible for delivering measurable impact, maintaining sector knowledge, and ensuring robust administration in line with the Foundation’s strategy and values.

Requirements

  • Significant experience managing trusts/foundations grant portfolios, with end-to-end diligence, contracting, and monitoring for multi-year, five/six-figure grants.
  • Track record in partnership building and delivering “funder plus” or capacity-building offers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in governance, compliance, risk management, and process improvement.
  • Strong sector knowledge and administrative skills, including financial management.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Grant making: theory of change, proportionate M&E, equitable and accessible processes.
  • Relationship excellence: convening, coaching, influencing senior stakeholders and delivery partners.
  • Governance literacy: risk management, conflicts, brand/communications approvals.

Responsibilities

  • Steward internal and external stakeholders, Trustees, Exec sponsors, delivery partners, ensuring timely, transparent communications.
  • Develop and maintain clear roadmaps for Financial Futures and Brighter Together Grants, specifying eligibility, nomination pathways, and proactive opportunity sourcing.
  • Build and manage a multi-year pipeline, sequencing due diligence and decision points aligned to Board and internal calendars. Ensure programmes and collateral reflect Foundation values and the “Brighter Financial Futures for Every Generation” purpose.
  • Lead end-to-end grant cycles: scoping, diligence, recommendation papers, contracting, milestones, variations, and closure. Apply Quilter policies throughout: Third-Party Risk Management, Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Conflicts of Interest, and Corporate Communications/Brand controls. Maintain audit-ready records and safeguard reputation and regulatory standing.
  • Provide Funder Plus support (skills-based volunteering, mentoring, peer learning). Coordinate skills based volunteering with internal sponsors and delivery partners. Uphold partner protocols as set out in agreements.
  • Embed and iterate the Foundation’s Impact Assessment Framework across all grants. Produce high-quality grant recommendations, portfolio updates, and Board/Trustee reports; capture KPIs, case studies, and risks.
  • Maintain audit-ready files, conflicts registers, and decision logs; track conditions, milestones, and exceptions. Coordinate with procurement/Legal on diligence, data protection, and categorisation. Ensure consistent use of Foundation templates and brand across documents and partner assets.
