The Partnership Success Lead is a strategic people leader and portfolio manager. This role is responsible for developing high-performing Partnership Success Managers (PSMs) and ensuring overall portfolio success. Working closely with Development leadership, the Lead will align talent, portfolio strategy, and execution to achieve and surpass organizational goals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Background in portfolio, pipeline, or client relationship management
  • Ability to balance leadership with hands-on execution
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Coach and grow PSMs through clear goals, ongoing feedback, and performance accountability.
  • Partner with leadership to set direction, allocate resources, and identify opportunities for transformational growth.
  • Maintain visibility into portfolio health, pipeline, and deal flow; identify risks and drive improvements.
  • Directly oversee 2–3 portfolios, supporting onboarding Partnership Advisors (major gift officers) and modeling best practices for effective cultivation and stewardship.
  • Guide forecasting, pipeline development, and adoption of tools (e.g., Salesforce) to drive disciplined execution.
