About The Position

As the Partnership Manager, you will serve as the face of our organization for donors within your assigned region, building and maintaining relationships with our stakeholders, partners and philanthropic communities. Your primary accountability within this role will be to deliver Rise Against Hunger’s goals in relation to funding sustainability. You will also be responsible for building upon our existing major gift program, creating corporate partnerships and working closely with and supporting the Donor Engagement team in their continued efforts to build our funding base throughout the region. This is a fast-paced position requiring heavy collaboration with all internal departments to further drive fundraising success.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or two years of relevant work experience.

  • Proficiency in using cloud-based computing software such as Google/Microsoft Office suite, Customer relationship management tools (Salesforce) and video conferencing.
  • Open to working a flexible work schedule, including some weekends and evenings.
  • Excel at multitasking, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously – either as a team or independently.
  • Strong verbal presentation skills and can leverage social media as a tool to communicate and drive event participation.
  • Enjoy working on your feet moving about during the day, lifting and carrying up to 50 lb bags and working in a warehouse environment.
  • Ready to learn how to drive a box truck, operate a forklift, and have no concerns with being able to pass a drug screen, DOT physical and have a clean driving record.
  • Some experience in public speaking, sales, volunteer coordination, event planning, or inventory management.
  • Passion for the mission of ending hunger around the world.

  • Proficiency in Google/Microsoft office suite as well as other cloud-based software.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record with a willingness to drive a box truck to transport materials to and from events.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or operating pallet jacks including frequently lifting up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to comply with DOT regulations and maintain DOT certification (DOT does not allow any history of marijuana use even for medicinal purposes).
  • Flexibility to work weekends as well as some evenings and early mornings.
  • Resourcefulness to work in different spaces and environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience, education or knowledge related to hunger, international development, and/or non-profits.
  • Experience using specialized equipment such as box trucks, forklifts, and pallet jackets.
  • Ability to track and manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and requisition procedures (FIFO).
  • Fundraising and/or sales experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce.

  • Experience with non-profit work is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Connecting organizations to Rise Against Hunger’s mission and outcomes through arranging meal packaging events and securing financial resources.
  • Taking the lead in program promotion and developing relationships with supporting organizations, including various religious congregations, businesses, civic organizations, schools and community groups.
  • Seeking out speaking opportunities, new partnership potential, ensuring follow-up on referrals and assisting in the recruitment of a local engagement board.
  • Training volunteers and staff on packaging procedures, and adjusting volunteer assignments in order to facilitate meal packaging events monthly.
  • Leading the recruitment and training of part-time team members and aiding in the preparation of written proposals, renewal agreements and other key partner documents.
  • Transporting raw materials and equipment to mobile packaging locations on a weekly basis and facilitating the setup of equipment and other materials using a pallet jack and box truck.
  • Continuously working to grow the movement through at-event donations and volunteer requests.
  • Managing and receiving shipments of raw supplies in compliance with USDA requirements for food processing and storage.
  • Processing documentation and tracking records of meal production in relation to meals shipped, inventory, donations, and volunteers.
  • Ensuring adequate stock of resources at all times while enforcing safety, health, and sanitation protocols.
