About The Position

JDC is seeking a Partnership Lead to empower and support a portfolio of partner local Jewish communities/ social Jewish organizations in their strategic growth and organizational development. This strategic role combines high-level leadership coaching with practical, hands-on accompaniment, working in close partnership with local partners to help them identify needs, clarify priorities, enhance capacity, and achieve sustainable impact. The Partnership Lead occupies a central position in JDC’s new approach and strategy, serving as the key connector between local communities and JDC’s broader organizational vision. By guiding partners through strategic growth and organizational development, this role ensures that JDC’s initiatives are responsive to real needs and grounded in local realities. The Partnership Lead’s ability to foster collaborative relationships and translate strategic priorities into actionable plans is critical for driving sustainable impact and advancing JDC’s mission in a rapidly changing environment.

Requirements

  • Significant professional experience (4+ years) in management consulting, social impact strategy, or complex organizational leadership, with a proven ability to navigate matrixed or hybrid structures - aligning HQ-level strategy with local implementation through effective resource integration and people management.
  • Strong analytical and strategic capabilities, including systems mapping, stakeholder analysis, and strategy design - with the ability to translate high-level data into actionable community interventions.
  • Demonstrated experience in ecosystem convening and cross-sector coordination, specifically in fostering collaboration between NGOs, donors, government bodies, and civic organizations — building and sustaining partnerships that drive collective impact.
  • Languages: Russian (Fluent/Native) and English (High Proficiency) – required
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, capable of guiding senior stakeholders through complex change processes and building consensus across diverse groups.
  • Integrity, resilience, and a growth mindset, with a commitment to high professional standards and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a changing environment.
  • Understanding Jewish community life and various models.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields – Mandatory

  • Experience in impact measurement, data-driven decision-making, or strategic foresight to guide investment and policy decisions - an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Ecosystem Navigator & Systems Thinker Conduct ongoing system-wide mapping of community organizations, stakeholders, and networks to identify key influencers and maintain an evolving picture of the landscape.
  • Encourage and support comprehensive needs assessments that integrate data and stakeholder input to uncover gaps, overlaps, and opportunities for catalytic impact.
  • Clarify JDC’s strategic role in each community - convener, capacity-builder, or partner - to align local actions with global goals.
  • Turn complex data into clear strategies and visuals to help senior leadership use field insights for decisions.
  • Organization Partner & Community Builder Translate ecosystem-wide insights into practical, localized strategies, helping partners articulate their unique contributions and connecting them to regional or global networks.
  • Strengthen the institutional capacity of community organizations by mentoring leadership on governance, strategic planning, and adaptive management to navigate complexity.
  • Facilitate processes that shift the dynamic from dependency to local ownership, ensuring organizations take primary responsibility for their growth and resilience.
  • Convene diverse community actors - including organizations, leaders, and activists - to foster collaboration, peer learning, and shared purpose across the ecosystem.
  • Resource Mobilizer, Integrator & Manager Mobilize the optimal mix of internal expertise and global resources to address complex community challenges, designing strategic interventions that drive sustainable, long-term impact.
  • Drive end-to-end accountability for initiatives, modeling a proactive mindset that anticipates challenges and delivers results rather than waiting for top-down solutions.
  • Champion a dynamic flow of insights and best practices between local teams, regional HQ, and partners to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Engage the local teams, acting as the critical bridge between field realities and organizational strategy while cultivating an environment of collaboration and professional growth.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders, effectively representing community needs to ensure resources are aligned, accessible, and impactful.
