About The Position

In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google’s users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. Additionally, we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration, and more). At gTech’s Users and Products team (gUP), our mission is to help users get the most out of Google. We represent Google's users and many of our partners globally, sharing insights with the larger Google organization to enable exceptional customer and product experiences. The Chrome Partner Engineering team is part of the gTech Web and Search Ecosystems team supporting Chrome's goal of a healthy, vibrant web in this increasingly agentic world. We're a group of technical experts addressing key programs that advance Chrome's goals. By working with partners and developers, we aim to arm the ecosystem with the tools, incentives, and products they need to succeed in the future of the web ecosystem. In this role, you won't just support product areas like Built-in AI, Agentic Web, Identity and Payments, Browser Fundamentals, and Growth—you will also influence the trajectory of the entire web ecosystem. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Experience in an investigative role such as business intelligence, data analytics, or statistics.
Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
Experience with cloud technologies such as architecting, developing, or maintaining cloud solutions in virtualized environments, or cloud data engineering.
Experience using Machine Learning and building solutions.
Experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix, Windows).

Responsibilities

Act as a trusted technical Strategist to the Partner Engineers in the Chrome and Web gTech team, supporting their engineering and product efforts as they plan their digital strategy, with clear implementation plans as it pertains to the web.
Identify and define future platform capabilities by understanding partner or product needs, translating them into actionable product proposals, with the goal of validating the next generation of web technologies.
Generate the foundational proof points or activation strategies for GTM that are essential for market assessment, incubation, and broad adoption, while focusing on high-leverage ways to achieve these goals.
Provide a high-fidelity, actionable feedback channel from partner engineers directly into the product development lifecycle.
