Scale's attorneys work for a variety of clients across Corporate, Fintech, Intellectual Property, Real Estate and Litigation practice groups. Scale attorneys are not salaried; instead, Scale pays attorneys a percentage of the fees collected from their clients. Unlike in a traditional law firm setting, where attorneys typically receive a third of the value they create for the law firm, Scale attorneys net a combination of collected origination and matter responsible fees.

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm, or in-house with a reputable company.
Graduated from a top-tier law school, or be able to demonstrate an excellent and sustained reputation in industry.
Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Attorneys from senior in-house positions with no demonstrable book as counsel.
Attorneys who have less than a significant transferrable book of originations are welcome to apply for a position as counsel.

Responsibilities

Identify at least one anchor client and articulate a clear business development plan at association.
Demonstrate a significant transferrable book of originations (for partnership consideration).
