About The Position

Acceleration Partners is seeking an experienced Partnership Growth Manager with business development/account management experience to support the growth of strategic partnerships for their clients. This role requires joining client calls to pitch high-value opportunities, providing strategic insights, tracking progress to goals, and proactively managing the top 10 partners for their respective clients. The ideal candidate will possess a 'how not if' mentality, an action-oriented approach, and effective questioning skills.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of business development or relevant work experience (including account management, contract negotiations, marketing).
  • Experience working in affiliate marketing, partnership development, or business development with enterprise-level clients.
  • Proven track record of reaching and exceeding goals.
  • Experience in a business development role.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to push back without damaging relationships.
  • Detail-oriented and persuasive.
  • Proven record of success in a goal-oriented, highly accountable, fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable leading client-facing presentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a natural communicator and influencer.
  • Reside in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to overall revenue goals through the creation of high-potential relationships and optimization of publishers, including paid placements, commission increases, and products for reviews.
  • Consistently updates department relationship tracker and client-approved placement tracker.
  • Serves as a trusted and knowledgeable resource, expert in managed client verticals, and proactively shares expertise across the organization.
  • Identifies new, high-quality partnerships and/or areas of opportunity based on client needs, industry evolution, and data.
  • Communicates clearly, informatively, and engagingly via cold emailing and other channels, asking relevant questions to vet opportunities.
  • Manages day-to-day communication with top publishers, including paid placements and optimization, independently 95% of the time.
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of identifying and executing opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Optimizes opportunities with top publishers on behalf of the client, viewing themselves as an extension of the client's business and developing long-lasting relationships.
  • Manages budget to identify opportunities that drive client growth while maintaining a healthy return on investment.
  • Exhibits exceptional calendar and time management skills.
  • Participates in engagement kickoff calls and ongoing client calls, asking appropriate questions to understand client goals and KPIs.
  • Creates and owns the strategy for recruitment and/or paid placement initiatives, including execution of paid placement strategy (negotiation, campaign setup, commission changes, partner communication) and recruitment strategy (list building, outreach templates, trackers).
  • Manages 95% of strategy without regular assistance from a manager.
  • Adapts to change, pivots strategies to reach client goals, sets expectations, and projects new goals when existing ones are not achievable.
  • Communicates and pushes back on unrealistic client goals without damaging relationships.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, challenges the status quo, and pitches innovative opportunities, showcasing the 'why' and benefits based on data and metrics.
  • Possesses a high level of knowledge across all publisher verticals and a proven track record of addressing client questions and speaking to areas of opportunity.
  • Investigates the 'why' behind rejections, pushes back, overcomes objections, and provides suggestions or alternatives based on thorough knowledge of the publisher and portfolio.
