About The Position

OpenRouter is seeking a Partner Development Manager to manage inbound provider conversations and convert them into live integrations. This role focuses on the long tail of new and inbound provider interest, ensuring that promising providers are not missed. The position is tactical, high-velocity, and requires hands-on onboarding and technical troubleshooting. The Partner Development Manager will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to integrate new providers onto the OpenRouter platform.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with the model ecosystem, including new models, labs, and inference providers.
  • Ability to hold credible conversations with providers.
  • Comfortable reading API documentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic integration issues.
  • Tactical mindset with a focus on high-velocity execution.
  • Willingness to move fast, follow up relentlessly, and prioritize shipping.
  • Low ego and high sense of ownership; willingness to do what it takes to get providers live.
  • Early-career professional eager to learn and build experience in partnerships.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Field and qualify inbound provider interest across various channels.
  • Conduct initial conversations to assess provider offerings and potential.
  • Proactively identify and reach out to emerging model developers, inference platforms, and GPU/accelerator providers.
  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for qualified providers, from initial contact to live integration.
  • Scope technical setups, coordinate integration efforts, and verify metadata and pricing.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and unblock providers as needed.
  • Read API documentation, poke at endpoints, and resolve basic integration problems.
  • Translate provider needs to internal Engineering and Product teams.
  • Track conversations, follow up consistently, and ensure provider progress.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to launch providers, communicate changes, and enhance the onboarding process.
