Requirements

2+ years of recent experience in veterinary practice
Must be able to draw blood
Must be able to place IV catheters
Knowledge of pharmacology & vaccine protocols
Experience with Cornerstone Veterinary Software
Ability to properly restrain patients
Experience rooming patients (weight, history)
Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted without direct supervision
Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion
Excellent communication skills
A commitment to outstanding client service
Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance
Ability to stay on task and work energetically for an entire shift

Responsibilities

Rooming patients
Knowledge of equipment used
Drawing blood and running bloodwork
Knowledge of x-rays
Proper animal handling and restraint
Surgical assisting
Understanding the importance of client education
Being a positive and motivating team member
