About The Position

Mixed Pet Veterinary Hospital, part of the VetEvolve network, is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Part-Time Associate Veterinarian for its Charlotte, North Carolina location. This role is ideal for veterinarians looking to reduce their schedule, return to practice, or achieve a better work-life balance. The hospital focuses on building lasting client relationships and practicing high-quality, individualized medicine in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The Associate Veterinarian will provide the highest quality of veterinary care and exceptional client service, advocating for pets' quality of life, fostering the human-pet bond, and educating clients on pet health. Requirements

  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Active (or eligible) North Carolina veterinary license.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to providing excellent patient care.
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent, with an active or eligible state license.
  • Strong medical, surgical, and diagnostic skills across companion animal practice.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
  • Collaborates effectively in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, safety, and high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely handle animals up to 130 pounds.
  • Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Professional, neat appearance consistent with hospital standards.

  • New graduates and experienced veterinarians are both encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Receive mentorship for surgeries and dentistry if desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care for companion animals, including wellness, preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment.
  • Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry (or receive mentorship if desired).
  • Collaborate with an experienced and supportive veterinary team.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients through education and compassionate communication.
  • Help create an exceptional experience for both pets and their families.
