Requirements

  • Must have a clean driving record if assigned to a driving post
  • 1 year or more of security experience. (Manager Discretion)
  • Basic computer skills and cell phone literacy
  • Good to excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to make good decisions (judgement and common sense)
  • Financial / mathematical aptitude
  • Reliable transportation to get to work site.
  • Well-motivated, able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must maintain reliable means of communication to be contacted by management.
  • Must have open Availability

Nice To Haves

  • Refusal to accept assignments may result in: Failure to receive sufficient hours per week. Removal from the UTILITY program.

Responsibilities

  • In addition to the requirements of regular security officers, the UTILITY is expected to maintain detailed notes
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to keep track of time for post worked and submit to Operations manager no later than 10am on Friday.
  • Comes to work whether called in or scheduled in advance; is on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned).
  • Has a neat, professional appearance
  • Must not smoke on any assigned post
  • Is a good communicator (both verbal and written)
  • Understands and successfully executes his/her post orders
  • Must report all concerns to management noted on sites assigned.
