The Flex Officer position is crucial to the company’s operational and financial success, providing trained, competent support by working shifts that become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This ensures continual, uninterrupted service to customers while protecting the health and work-life balance of personnel. As a flex officer, you will be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need, and your schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week, etc.) will vary. You will be assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs, sometimes with short notice. You are expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance and at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called in on short notice.

Requirements

  • Must have Current/Active Texas Level II Security License
  • Must have a Current Driver's License
  • Must have dependable means of transportation
  • Proficiency in computer skills required
  • Must demonstrate excellent writing, oral, analytical and communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and function with limited supervision
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make sound decisions
  • Must be available to work all shifts, all days - including weekends
  • Communicate unavailability on upcoming dates or times to your supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP
  • Act quickly and efficiently according to such directives
  • Provide trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes
  • Be trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need
  • Accept shifts as they become available due to staffing needs
  • Work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within your availability
  • Work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called in on short notice
