About The Position
North Canton City Schools is seeking a Part-Time Title I Tutor for the St. Paul School building for the 2026-27 school year. This position involves approximately 10 hours per week and focuses on providing small group reading instruction and intervention to students in grades K-8. The tutor will address key reading components including phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. Additionally, the role requires assisting with compliance with Title I-A federal regulations for equitable services.
Requirements
- Must possess at least one of the following certificates: PreK-12 or K-12 Reading Endorsement, or Elementary (K-8) or (1-8) certification.
- Knowledgeable in diagnosing reading deficits.
- Knowledgeable in providing data-based small group reading instruction.
- Knowledgeable in administering progress monitoring assessments.
Responsibilities
- Provide small group reading instruction and intervention focused on phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing to students in grades K to 8.
