About The Position

My Secure Advantage (MSA) is the national leader in financial well-being services. They are a small but strong company with a 35+ year track record of providing transformational financial coaching to employees of various companies. MSA aims to equip and empower people to take charge of their financial future. This role is for a Part-Time Tax Coach (Contractor) working approximately 8 hours a week, requiring fluency in English and French, and residing in Canada. This is a remote role with very limited travel required. The position focuses on providing full-spectrum financial coaching and education, specifically guiding members through tax planning. Requirements

• 4-year degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years experience in tax planning, personal tax prep, audits, etc.
• Proven track record persuading clients to engage or upgrade to value-added services and solutions.
• Motivational skills to inspire behavioral change around personal financial habits.
• Superlative listening skills that lead you to empathy and understanding.
• A high level of skill and comfort with technology.
• An openness to a culture of continuous development and improvement.
• A passion for helping people in need.
• Alignment with MSA’s values of Integrity, Compassion, Optimism, Growth, and Impact.
• Must be fluent in English and French.
• Must reside in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Host pre-scheduled appointments with members.
• Guide members through tax planning.
• Provide full-spectrum financial coaching and education.
• Put anxious members at ease over the phone.
• Build vibrant and encouraging relationships with members.
• Lead clients to invest in an ongoing relationship.
• Make financial concepts easy to understand.
• Research complex issues to develop innovative strategies.
• Take detailed notes.
• Support members two evenings a week.
