About The Position

Willows Child Learning Center in Arapaho, CO is a licensed childcare center seeking Summer Camp Substitutes. This is a full-time, seasonal position. Employment Dates: May 19th through August 13th. Requirements

High school diploma OR GED, CDA or higher
At least 6 months of documented experience
Level 1 or 2 on Colorado Shines PDIS to be alone with children
Ability to pass all background checks

Responsibilities

Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate using current curriculum guides.
Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
Provide additional supervision of children during field trips and off-site activities.
Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
