About The Position

LSS Childcare and Education seeks assistant teachers for the 2026 Summer Program with hearts for kids and learning. Come join our child-centered, family-friendly environment. LSS provides summer programming for children at our Hilltop United Methodist location. Staff have an opportunity to supervise youth from a variety of backgrounds at our various locations, including economically disadvantaged youth, English language learners, and youth with special medical and behavioral needs. Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old at time of hire to meet licensing requirements
  • If age 18 and above, requires active auto-insurance and a valid driver’s license
  • Willing to become CPR trained, LSS will provide
  • Willingness to submit to record checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, distributing drugs or sex crimes

Responsibilities

  • Supervise children ages 5 and up
  • Lead children in recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, and implementing lesson plans designed to be both fun and educational
  • Supervise regular trips to the local spray park, libraries, parks, swimming pool and on field trips throughout the community
