About The Position

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND. This position is for a Part Time Student Safety Technical for JD Davenport Works located in Davenport, IA.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in safety or an engineering-related field; others may apply
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Must be registered as a full-time student at an (a U.S/.local) accredited college/university
Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work 16-20 hours during the academic year
Available to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester
Must be able to commute to the work location in Davenport, IA.
Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

Responsibilities

Support risk assessments and related documentation
Assist with fork truck certifications, recertifications, record tracking, and fleet access system management
Support shop floor activity, including incident investigations and GEMBA and HOP engagements. Project Work
Support confined space program reviews, updates, and coordination of drills
Catalog standard racks, define acceptable stacking heights, and identify unacceptable loading conditions
Assist with light duty program coordination and tracking
