Part Time Special Education Instructor
About The Position
Brightmont Academy, established in 1999, offers a unique one-to-one instruction model for students in grades 1-12 across 26 campuses in 11 states. We foster a nurturing, student-centered environment focused on helping each student reach their full potential. As a Special Education Teacher, you will utilize the provided APEX Learning curriculum, implementing necessary accommodations and modifications based on IEPs to ensure student success. The ideal candidate will have experience with students on the Autism Spectrum (ASD), Emotional Disabilities (ED), and/or Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD). A dedicated case manager handles most administrative tasks, allowing you to concentrate on individual student needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- ESE certification
- Patience and empathy
- Genuine passion for teaching
- Proficiency using G-Suite
- Proficiency using Learning Management Software (LMS)
- Ability to provide fingerprints
- Ability to pass a federal background check
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in ASD, ED and/or SLD programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one instruction to students.
