About The Position

The Division of Liberal Arts English and Foreign Language Department is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to facilitate courses in Spanish by delivering high-quality instruction in flexible formats including hybrid or online classes. Adjunct faculty play a critical role in supporting student success, particularly for non-traditional students balancing education with work, family, and other responsibilities.

Requirements

A Master's degree in Spanish, or a Master's degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate-level credit hours in Spanish
Native or near-native fluency in both spoken and written Spanish and English
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Ability to teach in flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

Previous post-secondary or secondary foreign language teaching experience is strongly preferred
Experience working with adult or non-traditional students also preferred
Experience teaching blended, hybrid, and online classes a plus

Responsibilities

Teach assigned courses in accordance with established curriculum and academic standards
Facilitate engaging, student-centered learning experiences tailored to adult learners
Provide clear course expectations, timely feedback, and fair assessment of student performance
Maintain regular communication with students and respond promptly to questions or concerns
Foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment
Submit required documentation, including syllabi, attendance, grades, and course reports in a timely manner
Participate in departmental meetings or training sessions
Other duties as assigned
