About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join their team in their Philadelphia location. This role involves creating long-term impacts on consumers' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. The position involves working in various settings, following Individual Support Plans, and assisting individuals with daily living activities such as hygiene, personal care, housekeeping, and laundry to foster independence and pride.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

• Verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals.
• Following the Individual Support Plan.
• Assisting with social and communication skills.
• Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care.
• Teaching individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.
