About The Position
The College of Agriculture is seeking applicants for a part-time research assistant opening. We are recruiting research assistants for the Lowry Weed Ecology Lab to assist with experiments in both the field and greenhouse. Research projects will address key questions within weed ecology, such as: 1) how do management practices influence weed seed mortality in the soil 2) how do diverse crop communities influence weed communities and weed suppression and 3) how can we enhance the efficacy of ecologically based weed management practices?
Requirements
- Applicant must be able to work weekdays the entire summer
- A driver's license is required (but personal vehicle NOT required)
- Must be willing to work in a variety of environments, including outdoors
- Must be organized, able to work independently as well as within a group, demonstrate attention to details, and ability to follow instructions
