About The Position
This position is assigned to the Oscar Johnson Jr Enrichment & Recreation Center - Afterschool Program. With supervision, the Recreation Leader II delivers programs and events directly to the public. Responsibilities include opening and closing facilities, assisting with planning, gathering and organizing supplies/equipment, set-up, assigning duties, and take-down for programs and events. The role also involves cursory cleanup of the facility as needed, following all City and Center policies and procedures, and being responsible for the care and safety of participants.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possession of a valid Texas class "C" driver's license or higher
- Ability to obtain relevant certifications within the time period designated by supervisor
- Excellent communication skills and customer service
- Ability to multitask
Nice To Haves
- Experience in working with children
