About The Position

Envoy Air, an American Airlines Group Company, is hiring immediately for a Part-Time Ramp and Customer Service position at Lafayette Regional Airport. This entry-level role offers a stable, fun, secure, and fast-growing team environment focused on providing outstanding customer service. No prior experience is required, and paid on-the-job training and development programs are provided. The role involves interacting with passengers, assisting with check-in and ticketing using reservation/ticketing software, rebooking itineraries, and issuing boarding passes. Additionally, the position includes physical tasks such as lifting and sorting freight, mail, and baggage, and operating company vehicles on the tarmac. The work environment involves both indoor and outdoor tasks, exposing employees to various weather conditions. Shifts may vary and include irregular and/or extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Must be able to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags weighing up to 75 pounds
• Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver’s license; some license restrictions may prohibit a candidate from being considered for this role
• 18 years or older
• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Authorized to work in U.S. without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Greet passengers and provide a seamless check-in and ticketing experience
• Utilize reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries and issue boarding passes
• Interact with customers in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner
• Lift customers’ bags onto the belt
• Load, unload and sort freight, mail and baggage in a safe manner
• Achieve on-time departures and arrivals
• Cruise on the tarmac in company vehicles while getting the bags to their destination
• Work outside in all weather conditions
