The Probation and Pre-Trial Support Assistant performs a wide variety of complex office routines, processes and operations requiring training, knowledge and experience in the application of specific departmental or program rules, guidelines, statutes, laws or agency procedures. This includes reviewing and assess court orders, gather information for cases, create reports, enter data, edit documents, locate documents, and provide excellent interpersonal and office skills to offenders, public, lawyers, and judges. This position must have a understand of the Probation Department functions and services, maintain software applications and receive and direct all offenders coming into the probation office. The successful candidate must be flexible with their work schedule to meet departmental needs, including adjusting work hours as necessary to accommodate offender appointments, court-related activities, office coverage, and other operational requirements.
