About The Position

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced Part-Time Payroll Specialist to join our remote payroll operations team in the United States. This role is ideal for payroll professionals with experience in payroll processing, printing payroll checks, payroll disbursement, payroll administration, and employee payroll support in a fast-paced environment. The Part-Time Payroll Specialist is responsible for supporting payroll operations, payroll processing, payroll check printing, employee payment disbursement, and payroll record management. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. This position requires experience handling payroll transactions, preparing payroll reports, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll distribution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in printing payroll checks and handling payroll disbursement required.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and payroll systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote work environment.
  • Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of payroll processing, payroll administration, bookkeeping, or payroll support experience preferred.
  • Experience using ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll, Workday, or similar payroll software.
  • Experience supporting remote payroll operations.
  • Background in finance, accounting, payroll administration, or administrative support preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll reporting, payroll compliance, and employee records management.

Responsibilities

  • Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Print payroll checks and coordinate payroll disbursement activities.
  • Verify employee hours, deductions, overtime, and payroll adjustments.
  • Support direct deposit processing and employee payroll updates.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, reports, and documentation.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliation and payroll audit preparation.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee payroll and financial information.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance teams regarding payroll updates.
  • Review payroll data for accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • Support payroll reporting and administrative payroll functions.
  • Organize electronic payroll files and maintain payroll databases.
  • Assist with additional payroll administration tasks and special projects as needed.
