Job SummaryWe are seeking a faith-filled part-time paraprofessional for the 2026-27 school year working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Preference given to individuals with a background in Education or Special Education. This position will work with a preschool child with intellectual disability. Paraprofessionals (para) would assist students as assigned in providing modified instruction, skill reinforcement, remedial instruction, behavioral intervention, and real time coaching as facilitated by the classroom teacher and/or learning consultant, in support of a specific child’s learning plan. The para is responsible to the principal and assists the teacher and learning consultant in carrying out the learning plan, collecting data, reporting data, and communicating progress. Special training, resource support, and guidance will be given to the para by the learning consultant, teachers, One Classroom, or outside sources regarding these tasks. Paras work 7:30AM to 3:00PM during the school year with a starting wage of $15.00/hour. Part-time positions do not qualify for benefits. The para should enjoy working with children and able to establish positive rapport quickly. The applicant should be able to follow directions in learning to implement lessons, collect data, or to supervise activities as determined by the classroom teacher with consultation and training from the learning consultant. The applicant should have a good understanding of the developmental needs of the child with whom they are working. The applicant should have strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • Teaching or instructional support experience preferred but not required.
  • Genuine interest in working with children and supporting their academic and social development.
  • Ability to follow instructional plans, directions, and guidance provided by teachers and learning consultants.
  • Understanding of child development and the needs of the age group being supported.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to individuals with a background in Education or Special Education.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in the implementation of individualized learning plans through modified instruction, skill reinforcement, and remedial activities.
  • Assist with behavioral interventions and provide real-time coaching to support positive student behavior and learning outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and learning consultant to carry out instructional strategies and accommodations.
  • Collect, document, and report student performance and behavioral data as directed.
  • Communicate student progress and observations to the classroom teacher and learning consultant in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supervise and support students during instructional activities and other assigned times.
  • Participate in training and utilize provided resources to effectively support student needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
