About The Position

This job posting is for a general applicant pool for Substitute Teachers for the 2026-27 school year. Successful candidates will be required to work with students on-site and in-person. This on-call role fills in for absent staff at various school sites across the district. The role involves various shift times and operates on an on-call basis depending on vacancies. Work hours, including start and end times, are subject to change based on district needs. Substitute employment is 'at-will,' and there is no guaranteed minimum of hours or days per week.

Requirements

• Washington State Teaching Certificate
• 2 Reference Surveys (at least 1 must be from a supervisor)
• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for extensive periods of time.
• Frequently required to use hands to handle or feel.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, or bend.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and bloodborne pathogens.
• Ability to interact with groups of students with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
• Ability to withstand physical and emotional stress.
