This is a limited internship program with five (5) positions available . Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university . Interns must be available to work up to 20 hours per week from late May through early August . (Application deadline Friday, April 10th at 5:00 pm) The City of Mansfield Internship Program is designed to expose students to various departments within local government. Internships are available throughout the year, with each internship session lasting up to 10 – 12 weeks. Interns will report directly to a designated Internship Coordinator throughout the length of their internship. EXAMPLES OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED: It is the intention of the internship to provide college students with opportunities such as work assignments, research, attending meetings, and other relevant work activities that will broaden their understanding of opportunities within local city government. Interns will have exposure to the following departments, which provide support for multiple municipal functions. Interns may be placed in a rotation or a specific department that is relevant to their degree path and potential career interest.
