Lancaster Veterinary Specialties (LVS), located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is a thriving multi-specialty referral hospital founded in 2018. This is not an ER-style overnight shift — our overnight team typically cares for just 1–4 stable post-operative patients. Requirements
- Licensed Veterinary Technician, non-licensed technician, or experienced Veterinary Assistant
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience required
- Strong technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Calm, independent, and reliable
- Professional and team-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Specialty experience is not required — we are happy to teach.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring post-operative surgical patients
- Administering medications
- Managing IV fluid therapy (Heska pumps)
- Monitoring and documenting vital signs (HR, RR, temperature, CRT)
- Maintaining accurate nursing notes and morning handoffs
- Responding confidently and appropriately to any patient concerns
