Part-Time Overnight Caregiver – 12-Hour Night Shifts
About The Position
Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking an experienced and compassionate part-time overnight caregiver for a consistent 12-hour night shift with a client in the 75056 area. The client is bed-bound and living with a terminal illness and requires attentive, hands-on assistance throughout the night. We are looking for a caregiver who is dependable, patient, compassionate, and comfortable providing total-care assistance. This is a consistent, ongoing 24-hour-per-week assignment and is ideal for an experienced caregiver looking for a dependable part-time overnight schedule.
Requirements
- Previous professional caregiving experience required
- Experience caring for bed-bound or total-care clients strongly preferred
- Must be comfortable providing hands-on personal care, including bathing, toileting, feeding, and repositioning
- Must be physically capable of safely assisting with repositioning a bed-bound client
- Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
- Must remain awake, attentive, and responsive throughout the overnight shift
- Must be available 8:00 PM–8:00 AM
- Must be able to work 2 overnight shifts per week
- Must be available for at least ONE weekend day
- Must be able to reliably work the full 12-hour shift
Responsibilities
- Repositioning/turning the client every 2 hours
- Assisting with toileting and incontinence care
- Bathing and personal hygiene
- Feeding and meal assistance
- Changing clothing and linens as needed
- Providing comfort and companionship
- Monitoring the client throughout the overnight shift
- Maintaining a clean and comfortable environment
- Documenting care provided during the shift
