About The Position
Gulfport Behavioral Health System is seeking a Part-time Outpatient/PHP General Psychiatrist to join their team. This position offers flexibility with the option for tele-psychiatry or on-site work in Gulfport, MS. The role involves providing comprehensive psychiatric care to patients aged 18 and older, including admission evaluations, treatment plan development, and ongoing follow-up. The psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and complete necessary patient documentation. Gulfport Behavioral Health System has been serving the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over 33 years, offering a full range of treatment options for children, adolescents, and adults.
Requirements
- Board Certification in General Psychiatry.
- Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
- Mississippi medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility to obtain it.
- Must be comfortable treating child-adult populations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for patients.
- Participate in treatment team meetings.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
- Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Participation in meetings when requested by CEO.
