About The Position

Premier Protective Security (PPS) is seeking a Part-Time OPOTA Certified Armed Flex Security Guard for our location in Columbus, OH. As a Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring and patrolling premises, preserving order, and enforcing regulations. You will serve and safeguard clients in various industries, including convenience stores, truck stops, travel centers, warehouses, and truck yards. We are committed to providing a hand of trust, eyes of protection, and ears of attention to our clients.

Requirements

Must be 21+ years of age for Armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience (experience required only for Armed Roles)
Must have OPOTA Certification.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Personal Firearm required (9mm, .45 cal., semi-auto)
Must have at least 4 years of Armed Security experience.
Armed OPOTA Certified Security License (State of Ohio)
Customer service: 1 year (Required)

Responsibilities

Help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations.
Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Be vigilant, attentive, and notice things that others don't.
Be aware of potential risks or incidents that may take place on our customers' premises.
Frequently provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers.
