As a Part-Time Night Custodian, you will ensure existing facilities are kept clean, safe and well maintained.

Requirements

Minimum high school graduate with continuing education in construction or facilities related fields.
A minimum of 1 year of janitorial trade experience.
Must possess the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned interior areas including hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms, and the multi-purpose room.
Clean assigned exterior areas including the perimeter of the school building, parking lot, and windows.
Empty trash from all trash receptacles.
Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, window sills, and air vents.
Clean and sterilize restroom facilities.
Clean up bodily messes including vomit, feces, urine, and blood in accordance with training.
Remove waste in the cafeteria for breakfast and lunch.
Assist with cleaning cafeteria tables and floors.
Sterilize all high-use areas to reduce the spread of bacteria and other harmful agents.
Assist the Head Custodian with cleaning projects or tasks.
Assist with the creation and implementation of building preventative maintenance processes and monitoring systems.
Travel may be required to nearby schools or warehouse/storage.
Participate in training programs to increase skill and proficiency.
Review current developments and literature related to job responsibility.
Ensure adherence to OSHA and maximum safety procedures.
Perform other duties as delegated by Supervisor.
Follow federal and state laws, as well as company policies.
Always carry a hand-held radio while on school property if assigned by Supervisor.
Always stay on school property from the beginning of the workday until the end of the day, including lunch.
Assist with all emergency situations as needed.
Do not leave campus to run errands without permission from the Facilities Supervisor.
