Part Time Nanny
About The Position
A lovely family in Hoboken is seeking a part-time nanny for their two children, ages 1 and 4.5 years old, beginning in mid-August. Care is needed 2–3 afternoons per week, Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. While the specific days will vary from week to week, the family is offering a minimum of 8 hours per week. They are looking for a nurturing, engaging, dependable, and flexible caregiver who enjoys creating a fun and supportive environment for young children. This position pays $30-$35 per hour, and the family is looking for a minimum of 8 hours of care per week.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience
- CPR certified, or willing to become certified
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting
- Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
- Must speak English
Responsibilities
- Pick up the children from daycare and preschool (both within a 5-minute walk)
- Diaper changes for 1 year old
- Prepare and serve dinner for the children
- Engage the children in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities
- Light housekeeping related to the children (tidying play areas, children's dishes, etc.)
