About The Position

A family in Falls Church, VA 22042 is seeking an experienced and compassionate nanny who has experience in child-led care for a 1-year-old. The right candidate must be genuinely comfortable following Mom’s lead rather than applying conventional nanny methods. The family values open communication and building a long-term relationship with the right caregiver. This is a smoke-free home with one large 90lb dog. The child is breast-fed and the family focuses on child-led & low-stimulation activities with child independence.

Requirements

• Experience caring for infants/toddlers
• Experience with child-led care
• Comfortable working in a home with a large dog
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States

• CPR and First Aid certified

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive child-led care
• Support developmental activities appropriate for the child’s age and needs but allow for child independence
• Light housekeeping (laundry, bottles/dishes, tidying play areas, light organization)
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment
• Help with quick errands such as grocery shopping
