About The Position

The School of Nursing at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool. We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student-centered to teach in at least one of the following subject areas: Medical-Surgical/Critical Care Nursing, Pediatrics, OB/Maternity Nursing, School Nursing, Mental Health/Psychiatric Nursing, Community/Population, Nurse Midwifery/Women’s Health Care Advanced Practice, Nursing Leadership and Education courses, and Master’s and Doctoral level courses in research, leadership, policy/advocacy, epidemiology among others. This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments from the part-time pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.

Requirements

  • Masters and/or Doctorate in Nursing
  • RN License
  • Ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students
  • Eligibility for Board of Registered Nursing faculty approval is required for pre-licensure teaching positions
  • Must be available on very short notice.
  • Must disclose whether they have received a final administrative decision or final judicial decision determining that they have committed sexual harassment within the last 7 years only after a determination is made that they meet the minimum qualifications for the position, and before an offer of employment is extended.
  • Must sign a release form that authorizes the release of information by the applicant’s current and/or former employers to the CSU concerning any substantiated allegations of misconduct if they reach the final stages of the application process.

  • Be available on very short notice for temporary appointments.
  • Participate in regular performance evaluations.
  • Potentially have syllabi, assignments, and reading material reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.
