Part Time LBS1 Instructor - 1-to-1 Education
About The Position
Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part-Time Special Education Instructor for its One-to-One Learning program. Founded in 1999, Brightmont Academy has over 27 campuses nationwide, dedicated to helping students from 1st to 12th grade reach their full potential through personalized, one-on-one instruction in a nurturing environment. The instructor will utilize the provided APEX Learning curriculum and implement necessary accommodations and modifications based on IEPs to ensure student success. The ideal candidate will have experience with students in ASD, ED, and/or SLD programs. A case manager will handle most administrative duties, allowing the instructor to focus on individual student needs.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- LBS1 certification
- Patience & Empathy: Understanding that every student learns differently and commitment to supporting them.
- A Heart for Teaching: A genuine passion to share subject matter with the next generation.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
- Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in ASD, ED and/or SLD programs.
Responsibilities
- Teach students one-on-one, tailoring lessons to their unique needs and learning styles.
- Guide students to mastery using a gradual release approach.
- Focus on inspiring students without the burden of lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading.
- Provide accommodations and modifications necessary based on the IEP for student success.
- Utilize the provided APEX Learning curriculum.
